Introduction
Welcome to White Belt/Sash Level, the gateway to your journey through Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Nei Kung, and Nei Dan. This foundational syllabus forms level 1 of the Black Belt programme, fully accredited by the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts (BCCMA) and the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), ensuring your practice aligns with the highest professional and ethical standards.
While exploring White Sash you will discover harmony of body, mind, and energy. Through mindful postures, breath, and intention, you will begin to cultivate internal awareness, and energy flow, laying the groundwork for technical skills, internal strength, and lifelong well-being. This level is the first of ten progressive stages leading to your 1st° Black Belt, with each stage building upon the last to deepen both competence and subtle energetic understanding.
Completion of the full Black Belt programme opens the opportunity for professional membership with BCCMA and CIMSPA, including optional coach or instructor status. Yet, mastery is not defined solely by teaching, through White Sash and beyond, you can achieve full personal proficiency and internal cultivation, while retaining the choice to share your knowledge when ready.
Here, your journey begins. Awareness, connection, and integration guide every step, and each posture and breath becomes a doorway to balance, energy, and self-discovery.
