Cosmology

Understanding the Universe and Its Forces

Cosmology is the study of the universe, its origins, structure, and the fundamental forces that govern its design. It seeks to understand the nature of existence, the relationships between matter and energy, and the forces shaping the cosmos. Traditional cosmology often emphasizes gravitational forces, but the Electric Universe theory offers an alternative, suggesting electromagnetism and plasma dynamics play key roles in shaping the universe.

In this view, space is not a vacuum, but a charged, energetic environment where electromagnetic forces flow through the cosmos, influencing galaxy, star, and planetary formation. Plasma, the most abundant state of matter, conducts these electrical currents, creating interconnected cosmic structures that span vast distances.

The Electric Universe challenges conventional models by proposing that electromagnetic forces, far stronger than gravity, may drive many cosmic phenomena. If a “Big Bang” event occurred, it may have been an electrical discharge rather than a singular explosion from nothing.

This alternative perspective invites us to reconsider space, time, and the laws governing the cosmos, revealing a dynamic, interconnected universe shaped by both electrical and gravitational forces, where everything is linked through currents of energy flowing throughout.

The Role of the Pole Stars in Ancient Cultures

The ancient sky watchers, entrusted with the sacred responsibility of observing the heavens, passed this knowledge down through generations or to specially chosen individuals. These people, known as the “Sky People” or “Sun People,” dedicated their lives to recording the movements of celestial bodies. The astronomical movement of a star takes approximately 72 years to shift by just one degree in the sky, meaning that the progression of a star or constellation across the heavens spans thousands of years.

Imagine the vast expanse of time required for a star to return to its original position in the sky: roughly 26,000 years. To confirm an observation made at the beginning of this cycle would require waiting an additional 26,000 years, over 52,000 years of continuous astronomical observation!

Herodotus, the ancient historian, claimed that the Egyptian priests made such chronological records over a span of 52,000 years. Additionally, the scholar Pandoro noted that before the time of Menes, the first pharaoh of Egypt, the world was ruled by the reign of the Seven Gods, represented by the circumpolar stars. During this epoch, the Great Mother was revered as the central force within the Great Wheel, symbolizing the cyclical nature of existence.

The Dendera Zodiac and the Great Mother

The Temple of Hathor at Dendera, originally buried beneath the sands, houses the earliest known depictions of the northern hemisphere’s astronomical constellations, zodiac symbols, and fascinating hieroglyphs. Dating back to around 1700 BCE during Egypt’s 18th Dynasty, the temple’s exact construction date remains uncertain due to its reconstruction. Beneath the temple lies a network of catacombs, containing enigmatic hieroglyphs, including the famous images of what appear to be electric light bulbs with snakes inside them.

One of the most significant features of the temple is the Wheel of Dendera, which illustrates the northern hemisphere’s constellations. At the center of the wheel stands Taweret, the Great Mother, a primordial figure who created the cosmos without a male counterpart. This celestial wheel resonates with the Dharma as described in Buddhism, symbolizing the turning of the great law of the universe. Understanding this cosmic wheel offers insight into the nature of existence, both within the individual and throughout the world.

The ancient Egyptians described the primordial law, “em ser en maat”, as the strict accuracy of law based on phenomenal repetition. It is through this repetition, as they believed, that the eternal truth is revealed. The Dendera Wheel, much like the Buddhist Dharma, represents a profound understanding of the cosmic order, a formula for the eternal. By exploring astrotheology, we can gain insight into the Sage’s mind and the deeper mysteries of the cosmos.

An Introduction to the Precession of the Equinoxes

The pole stars, also known as circumpolar constellations in the Northern Hemisphere, include the North Star, Polaris, the brightest star closest to the celestial pole at any given time. Due to the precession of the equinoxes—also known as The Great Year—the position of the celestial poles shifts in a small circle over approximately 25,772 years. This gradual movement causes different stars to serve as the North Star throughout history. Currently, Polaris (α Ursae Minoris) is the North Star, but around 2700 BCE, Thuban (α Draconis) held that position. In 14,000 CE, Vega (α Lyra) will become the North Star. The North Star has long been used by navigators to determine direction in the Northern Hemisphere.

Unlike the Northern Hemisphere, there is no bright star near the South Pole. The current South Pole star, Polaris Australis (σ Octantis), is faint and barely visible to the naked eye.

Ancient cultures across the world observed these stars and wove them into their mythology. Sites like Nabta Playa in Egypt (8,000 years old) and Stonehenge in England (11,000 years old) are examples of early observatories where people recorded celestial events.

The Precession of the Zodiac & The Ages of Humanity

When astrologers refer to the Age of Aquarius, they are describing a phenomenon known as the precession of the equinoxes, the Earth’s gradual backward movement into the sign of Aquarius. This process involves the Earth moving in “retrograde” motion through the 12 signs of the zodiac. Over a span of 26,000 years, the Earth will pass through each zodiac sign, with each “Age” lasting approximately 2,166 years (26,000 years divided by 12 signs).

The concept of the precession of the zodiac was first explained by the Greek astronomer Hipparchus of Nicaea (c. 190 – c. 120 BCE), and it occurs due to a slight wobble in the Earth’s rotation. This wobble causes the position of the constellations that lie behind the Sun at the vernal equinox to gradually shift over time, marking the transition from one zodiac sign to another. Rather than diminishing the significance of the Sun signs, this precession adds a unique character and influence to each sign.

The Age of Pisces preceded the Age of Aquarius, and as the Earth moves in retrograde motion, we have just left the Age of Pisces. To determine which Age we are currently in, astrologers observe the constellation that rises at the vernal equinox. This constellation represents the ruling energy of the current Age, which will return approximately 26,000 years later. Thus, each Age is defined by the cosmic shift in the heavens and the unique spiritual and cultural qualities it brings.

Age of Pisces (~1 BCE – Present)
  • Aligned with Christianity, the Piscean Age emphasized faith, sacrifice, compassion, and mysticism.

  • The symbol of the fish became synonymous with Christ and early Christian communities.

  • Pisces, ruling the feet, reflects themes of pilgrimage, service, and devotion.

Age of Aquarius (Now Emerging)
The Age of Aquarius is generally believed to begin around the year 2100, although some interpretations suggest it may have already started. The 1999 solar eclipse was a powerful symbol for the transition into the Age of Aquarius. This event, occurring in the constellation Leo (opposite Aquarius), marked a key moment in the shift of the world’s collective consciousness. It symbolized the end of old paradigms and the beginning of a new era. This shift was further facilitated by the movements of planets like Uranus and Neptune.

  • Characterised by science, technology, humanitarianism, and collective consciousness.

  • The Internet and global connectivity reflect Aquarian ideals.

  • The shift from “I believe” (Pisces) to “Prove it to me scientifically” (Aquarius) marks this new era.

The Lesser Great Year & Solar Cycles

Beyond the 26,000-year cycle, the Earth’s annual orbit around the Sun also generates celestial shifts, leading to solstices, equinoxes, and leap years. These seasonal markers have been used for agricultural, ritual, and timekeeping purposes throughout human history.

  • Winter Solstice

The longest night, marking rebirth and renewal.

  • Vernal Equinox

Day and night are equal, historically used to determine the current astrological Age.

  • Summer Solstice

The longest day, celebrated as a time of peak vitality and light.

  • Autumnal Equinox

Another moment of balance, often linked to harvest festivals.

The Moon

The “moon cycle” refers to the moon’s orbit around Earth, which takes about 29.5 days. As it orbits, its appearance changes, showing us different phases depending on the angle of sunlight. These phases are:

  • New Moon (Dark Moon) – not visible

  • Waxing Crescent

  • First Quarter (Half Moon)

  • Waxing Gibbous

  • Full Moon – fully illuminated

  • Waning Gibbous

  • Third Quarter (Half Moon, opposite of First Quarter)

  • Waning Crescent

  • New Moon – the cycle repeats

This full cycle is called a “lunation,” where the moon completes its orbit around Earth. The moon cycle influences mood and behaviour. During a Full Moon, stress and sensitivity increase, often leading to frustration and self-focused behaviour. A New Moon, on the other hand, brings calmness, emotional balance, and renewed determination.

The moon’s gravitational pull creates tides, shifting water levels and affecting life on Earth. With the human body being 75% water, the moon’s influence on water is felt in our own cycles. Women’s menstrual cycles, averaging 28 days, align closely with the lunar cycle, highlighting the deep connection between lunar rhythms and life on Earth.

Internal cultivation and cosmology

The Science of Longevity and No Mind

Internal cultivation and cosmology are inseparable, reflecting the profound connection between the microcosm of the human body and the macrocosm of the universe. Internal cultivation involves refining and balancing one’s inner energy through practices such as Chi Kung, Tai Chi, meditation, and other spiritual disciplines. These practices aim to harmonize the flow of Chi (life force) within the body, leading to greater physical vitality, emotional balance, and spiritual awakening. At the heart of this process lies the understanding that humans are not isolated from the cosmos but are intrinsically interconnected with the energy patterns that govern the universe.

By aligning with the natural rhythms of the cosmos, practitioners seek to achieve a deeper sense of well-being and enlightenment. Internal cultivation becomes a way of tuning oneself to the cosmic order, much like how the celestial bodies maintain their cycles and harmony across time. Through intentional breathing, mindful movement, and energy cultivation, individuals transform themselves into living reflections of the greater universe, embracing the wisdom that “as above, so below.”

The sage moves through the seasons but is not ruled by them. They witness the procession of kings and empires, yet do not mistake them for permanence. Possessions may come and go like the tides, yet the one who holds the true elixir remains untouched. The celestial wheel turns, but the mind anchored in stillness is beyond its pull.

The Sirius Mystery & Orion’s Belt

Orion the Hunter, with his iconic belt of three bright stars, signals the approach of winter. Visible in the eastern sky from late November to mid-December, Orion and his companion, Sirius, are not seen at sunrise on December 25th. Instead, they appear in the southwestern sky (Northern Hemisphere) or north-western sky (Southern Hemisphere) after sunset.

Around the winter solstice, on December 24th, the three stars of Orion’s belt align, known as “The Three Kings,” pointing to the sunrise on December 25th, symbolising the birth of the sun.

From the summer to the winter solstice, days shorten, and the sun appears to move south. By December 22nd, the sun reaches its lowest point, seemingly pausing for three days near the Southern Cross.

On December 25th, the sun shifts northward, marking the return of longer days and warmth. This cosmic cycle gave rise to the ancient story: “The sun died on the cross, was dead for three days, only to be resurrected and born again.”

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

In this course, you will gain a foundational understanding of the cosmos, including the study of the universe’s origins, structure, and the fundamental forces that govern it. You’ll explore the Electric Universe theory, cosmic plasma, and the traditional model of gravity, learning how these concepts shape our understanding of the universe.

The Electric Universe theory challenges the conventional understanding of gravity as the dominant force. Instead, it posits that the universe is a dynamic and electrically charged environment, where plasma plays a central role in conducting electric currents across space, influencing celestial movements and structures.

Plasma is a state of matter where gases are ionized, meaning electrons are free to move within the atomic structure. It is the most abundant state of matter in the universe, and in the Electric Universe theory, it plays a critical role in conducting electric currents in space and interacting with cosmic forces, such as electromagnetic fields.

Our courses delve into the cosmic knowledge passed down by ancient civilizations, particularly the Egyptians. You will learn how they observed celestial movements, developed astronomical knowledge, and recorded their findings in sacred texts and monuments, such as the Dendera Zodiac, which symbolically connects cosmic events with spiritual insights.

The Dendera Zodiac is an ancient Egyptian star map found in the Temple of Hathor at Dendera. It is significant because it represents the Egyptians’ understanding of the precession of the equinoxes and aligns with their spiritual practices. The zodiac is symbolic of the cosmic cycles and the relationships between celestial bodies, offering a bridge between physical and metaphysical aspects of the universe.

Precession refers to the slow, cyclical shift of Earth’s axis and the changing position of the equinoxes over time. This movement impacts the alignment of the stars and constellations, influencing the ages of astrological cycles, such as the Age of Aquarius. Understanding precession allows us to see how ancient civilizations predicted celestial events and how this knowledge can be applied in modern cosmology.

The precessional cycle lasts approximately 25,772 years, during which the Earth’s poles slowly shift position relative to the stars. As the North Star changes over time, the cycle impacts global consciousness and the alignment of astrological ages, offering a framework for understanding both cosmic and human evolution.
