Paulette - Trainee Instructor
Sash Level: Blue Sash
Vision
Through teaching, I aim to help others regain their confidence by practicing Tai Chi and Chi Kung, awakening their inner smile and cultivating feelings of bliss. Tai Chi has become a natural, simple way of life for me, and I am passionate about helping others integrate it into their own lives. I firmly believe Tai Chi nurtures self-development. Without progression, stagnation can lead to illness, but the Ptah Khi School serves as a form of medicine, offering tools to heal both the body and mind through spiritual practices like meditation and practical applications, principles I will continue to share through my teaching.
As a school, we are deeply committed to presenting our teachings in ways that students can easily grasp, which I experienced first-hand. This approach is an empowering cornerstone of our community. Additionally, my experience attending and assisting at nearly all Tai Chi workshops, radio talks, and presentations over the years with both Sifu Sahu and Sifu Amun this has strengthened my appreciation for how these events foster cohesiveness within our network, supporting the growth and progress of each individual on their journey.

Since then, I have been dedicated to incorporating Tai Chi into my daily life, and I have not stopped. Attending classes helped me regain my inner confidence, and I initially chose Tai Chi as a way to address my day-to-day challenges. This decision has had a profound impact, transforming many aspects of my life, including stress, sciatica, and arthritis in my joints. Since joining Ptah Ki Tai Chi School in 2019, my journey has been one of transformation and discovery, rooted in a lifelong passion for physical activity. Growing up, I dedicated myself to various sports, particularly rugby, which ignited my fascination with the human body, its systems, functions, and untapped potential.
An ACL injury became the catalyst for a profound shift in my life, steering me from the purely physical realm into the deeper, interconnected worlds of spirit and holistic health. This injury marked the beginning of an enduring romance with Tai Chi, which has since become the cornerstone of my personal growth and professional endeavours.
Tai Chi has informed and enriched my work across multiple holistic health modalities. It’s not just a practice but a way of life, one that I use to enhance my own well-being and that of those around me. Each day, I delve deeper into the practice, applying its wisdom to help others release, rejuvenate, and reset their systems through the integration of movement, breathwork, and ceremony.
Today, I facilitate and hold retreats and ceremonies worldwide, weaving together diverse techniques and practices. My work focuses on empowering individuals to fully “level up” their lives, pouring all my training, experience, and passion into each interaction.

I am dedicated to enhancing the lives of others by helping them reclaim their vitality and inner balance. My ultimate dream is to open my own school, where Tai Chi and holistic practices are at the heart of a global community committed to growth, healing, and connection. Learn More About James
I began studying Tai Chi around 25 years ago, drawn to its graceful movements and promise of balance in body and mind. However, as with many, the demands of life and work eventually took over, and after a few years of practice, I had to put it on hold. In 2022, I reconnected with my passion by joining the Ptah Khi Tai Chi School, and I haven’t looked back since.
Tai Chi has become more than a physical practice for me. Whilst it helps me maintain strength, mobility, and fitness as I age, it also offers me clear opportunities for personal growth, mental clarity, and emotional balance. It provides me with a meditative space, a much-needed refuge where I can mentally and emotionally detach from the pressures of my professional life. This practice has become a cornerstone of my well-being, helping me navigate the challenges of professional and family life with greater focus and resilience.
Throughout my working career, I have always been passionate about training, coaching, and supporting the growth of individuals and groups. These experiences, combined with my own journey in Tai Chi, inspire me to guide others in developing their own strength, mobility, and resilience. As a parent of two teenagers and someone just past the age of 50, I recognise and value what Tai Chi has brought to my life and look forward to helping others discover its transformative benefits for themselves.
Vision
My vision is to achieve a Black Sash in Tai Chi Chuan and continue spreading the teachings of Ptah Khi School, sharing the art’s profound physical and mental benefits with a wider audience. I look forward to continuing on my personal development and fitness journey, whilst improving my mobility and flexibility allowing me to keep up with my 2 rugby playing teenagers as they continue to grow!
